Pierre Hacquard won the European Division SPE Student Contest

Congratulations to Pierre Hacquard who won the European Division SPE Student Contest 2018 in the Master category with his presentation on “NEW GENERATION OF UNCERTAINTY ANALYSIS IN BASIN MODELING”!

As we advertised it in a previous news, Pierre used the results he obtained during his apprenticeship in IFP Énergies Nouvelles, co-oriented by Mathieu Ducros, now Executive director in C6+, to compete in the SPE Student Contest 2018.

Pierre, who has strong presentation skills, managed to highlight an innovative approach for basin modelling uncertainty analysis based on geological concepts instead of physical parameters to make it accessible to a wider and less experienced community while remaining accurate.

Pierre Hacquard congratulated by Jean-Marc Dumas, SPE Director South, Central & East Europe.

Pierre has now the opportunity to advance to the International Student Paper Contest held during ATCE in Dallas, Texas (24-28 September 2018). We wish good luck for this new challenge which will be, whatever the results, a very good opportunity for him to gain experience.
